As a coach and Computer Science teacher, I often try to intertwine the two. I do this by creating team websites where parents and players can view schedules, results, stats, and locations of our games. I have used eteamz in the past with the free team account. Eteamz is pretty easy to use and has a lot of functions that keep the players, parents and coaches in contact. However, the major drawback is the options I want to use (in essence making my job easier) always require a paid membership. When coming across the Mashable article Top 10 Tools for Soccer Moms and Weekend Warriors, I was excited to see that there are eteamz competitors (as well as other tools) that I can use for free. I'll be checking out TeamSnap in hopes of finding a nice all-in-one (and free) tool for the online management of my teams! Here's hoping you do the same.

New Tek: Top 10 Tools for Coaches

Creative Commons Licensing
I'm in day 4 of the "30 Days to Being a Better Blogger" challenge and have added a CC License to my blog. I've always had licenses on my videos and other work that I have put on YouTube, but didn't think to do so for my text. I'm happy to say the process was easy and the end result is my work is now protected! Check it out for yourself at Creative Commons.

30 Days to Being a Better Blogger
As a noob to the true blogging community, I have decided to jump in on Steve Dembo's challenge: 30 Days to Being a Better Blogger. Through Collette's EdTechVision blog, I hopped on over to Steve's blog at Teach42 where I happily got started. I'm tagging all of my posts on the challenge with "30D2BBB" as Steve suggested. Best of luck, and here's wishing me some!Day 1 - All about the “About” page
So, it turns out that my About page pretty much doesn't exist. I had one for quite some time, but when I updated to the new template it somehow got lost. After reading Steve's post about how important the page is and what to include, I've updated mine and added it for your reading pleasure!
